Our Story
Who would have thought that in the middle of a global pandemic, two people who lived on the opposite sides of Melbourne and who'd both given up on finding 'The One', would manage to find that exact thing in each other. Well that is our story and since then there has been laughter, tears, parties, mayhem and moments of perfect love. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends who we can celebrate this new chapter of our lives with. Thank you for being part of this amazing event and our lives in general.
Maid of Honour
Jo Meade
Jo is Taryn's BFF and partner in numerous undetected crimes. Don't be fooled by her quiet and retiring demeanour...she will be leading the charge, with her partner Al, in after party hi-jinks.
Best Man
Lachlan Campbell
Lachlan is Bruce's son and full time pest. He can usually be found asking "What's for dinner" or shadow boxing his father. Despite this it will be a wonderful moment to have Lachlan standing beside Bruce on his wedding day. After the ceremony Lachlan will most likely be found using corny lines on any single women at the reception. You've been warned!
Bridesmaid
Belinda McInnes
Belinda is Taryn's high school friend and the only responsible one in the wedding party. However, noting the occasion, there is every chance she will be tanked by the end of the evening. At least we hope so!
Groomsman
Rodney Huckstadt
Rodney, better known as Hux, was Bruce's greatest failing in the Navy. He tried to create Rodney in his own image but alas the result was a shell of a man who chose a life in the public service. Despite this Rodney is still one of Bruce's closest friends and will no doubt do his best to embarras the groom at every opportunity. Hopefully his lovely wife Mardi (who still has a crush on Bruce) will keep him in check!
Daughter of the Bride
Sabriel Stanley
Sabriel is Taryn's only child and it shows. When not demanding hugs from Bruce and Lachlan, Sab will be found swimming, rock climbing, painting or harassing the dog. Sab's role will be to give Taryn away to Bruce but noting she has been demanding Bruce marry Taryn for about 3 years it seems a moot point!
Flower Persons
Josh and Sharelle
Josh and Sharelle are dear friends of Bruce and Taryn and also have the added bonus of being lunatics. We make no promises as to any antics they may or may not get up to but we also make no apologies! Sharelle will also be coreographing the bridal waltz so it's her fault and not Bruce's if it all goes pear shaped.
Bottle Boy
Shane Jolejole
Shane Jolejole (pronounced Olly-Olly) also known as Jube, is Bruce's partner in crime from numerous misadventures in South East Asian ports. He's also the best possible choice (despite Taryn's deep reservations) to act as the dispenser of Tequila shots for guests prior to the wedding. Drink at your own risk! There's a reason Shane's partner Kerry doesn't drink anymore....
